Claytor Lake Jerkbait Bass - March 29th, 2023

Caught 2 spots and 2 LMBs all on a Jerkbait in 15’ plus of water. Water temp was 52 degrees. Nothing up shallow. No takers on the fluke…yet. 

Two River Hole Hopping- March 25th, 2023

Jared and hit 7 different spots on 2 different rivers on a warm day before the wind picked up. We fished for 4 hours and landed 4 fish total. The biggest was the 19” fish pictured that Jared caught. 

New River Single - March 22nd, 2023

I fished the New while it was down for about an hour or so. Had one bite caught ins bass about 14”. Water was 45 degrees. C’mon warmer weather. 

Early Grass and A Lone Bass - March 22nd, 2023

A disappointing trip to Moncove produced only one bass. Oddly the grass is already covering the bottom of the lake. It seems way to early for that. Not sure if the DNR has changed something up or not over there. A previous cold front had water temps only au 45 to 46 degrees. 

One Bite One Fish - March 9th, 2023

Fished one hour, had one bite, caught one fish 

Clayor Lake Spring Training- March 1st, 2023

First time having the bass boat out in 2023 was slow but not a zero. I landed two largemouth and Stan one on 49 degree water on Claytor. No smallmouth or spots to be found on this day.
