Mountaintop Acorns - September 28th, 2013

I hunted Little Creek in search of squrriels today. I started low and found no mass. I saw only 2 and killed squrriels in 2 plus hours down low on the creek. I then moved to the ridgetops some 400 feet of elevation higher and found tons of acorn mass and many squacks. I also ran across a ton of bear sign up high. I killed the remaining five of my limit in a little over 30 minutes. Next time I go that way I know to start high and stay at higher elevation. It was a nice overcast cool day for hunting but still way to many leaves still on.

Clouds Make for a Good Afternoon Bite. - September 18th, 2013

Brad and I caught 15 bass each in a quick 2 hour float from the dam to advance beach. Heavy cloud matte made for some good fishing before dark. G tails were the main weapon.

Return to Bluestone Lake - September 21st, 2013

Brown and I fished Bluestone for 6 hours. I caught 4 and Jason caught 6. We caught them on a variety of baits before the big rain hit. Jason caught the two nicest fish seen in the pics. We landed a descent limit even though you would think the bite would have been on better than it was.

Slow Bite in the Afternoon - September 15th, 2013

Brad and I floated from the Dam to Advance Beach in the last couple hours of daylightn on this Sunday afternoon. I caught 5 and Brad 10. None of the fish we caught were big. The bite was slow. We had a lot of fish that hit weak. Water was falling and very clear.

Down the River Five Wide - September 11th, 2013

Greg, Brad, Todd, Nic, and myself went on a quick afternoon float down the New from the Dam to Advance Beach. We landed a hair over 50 fish between the five of us in 2 hours of fishing. Greg had the biggest being over 17 inches. A few others were caught around a pound but most fish were on the small side. The fish were not real aggressive. A lot of times they nipped instead of hit the bait.

Slow Day on the Greenbrier - September 7th, 2013

Jamie and I floated from Barger Springs to Cameo Club on the Greenbier with little results fish wise. It was a nice day to float and the scenery was good, but fishing was tough. The water was clear the fish were spooky. The sun was out and bright. We only managed to catch 8 or so total bass in about 6 miles of water.
