Claytor Lake Fifty - May 5th, 2022

We caught 50 bass today all on chartreuse fluke with a few perch mixed in. Caught smallmouth, largemouth, Kentucky spots, and Alabama spots. A new perfect weather and water conditions day with very little fishing pressure. 

After School Fishing - May 4th, 2022

First Fluke Day of 2022 - April 30th, 20022

I landed 8 and Jared landed one all on chartreuse flukes in 60 degree water. This marks the first good fluke day of 2022. There is nothing I like better than bass chasing flukes. I lost one about three pounds and Jerod missed one about three pounds. Good day for 7am to 11am. 

Falling Water Failing Bites - April 29th, 2022

Falling water killed my regular local bass bite. I on had one bite and it small and got off. Rain coming in forecast should help change momentum. 

Quick Double - April 27th, 2022

I fished below the house at the end of a nice sunny April afternoon and picked up a quick pair of smallmouths. It is nice to live on the river. 

Before The Cold Front - April 26th, 2022

Caught 5 after work on tubes as the cold front was pushing in. No big ones today. 

The Same Bass Twice - April 24th, 2022

I fished and hour and a half before work and managed to catch the same 3 pound bass twice on two different lures with a 1.5 hour span. Kinda funny.
