Four Feet Low - August 5th, 2020

The Corps of Engineers drew Claytor Lake down over four feet in anticipation of hurricane rain and it made for some tough fishing. Seemed like all keeper sized bass were pulled off deep and inactive. I never did catch a smallmouth. I did however manage to catch a lot of small spots and bluegill on a spinner fishing first drop.

A smooth and easy Monday morning catching bluegills for me and Avery despite falling water levels. We managed to catch over 50 in two hours of fishing.
