Slow But Steady - June 29th, 2020

Greg and I spent a day on Claytor. We caught several early on a fluke then some on square bill, a couple on senko. then some on spinner. Fish did not want any one magic thing. It was a junk fishing kind of day. But we steadily kept catching fish and we even caught a couple of better fish later in the day. The biggest fish of the day was an 18” smallmouth Greg caught on a square bill. By the end of the day we caught a lot of fish. As always the scenery there was picturesque.

All Tangled Up - June 25th, 2020

Unforgettable day. Started off with a bang catching a 21” large mouth on a suspended fluke in shallow wood. He got tangled up wood but the Seagaur held despite being tangled up, we caught a lot of fish in main lake points. Fluke and KVD 1.0 sexy chart shad were order of the day. This was the first really quality citation bass out of the new boat.

Summer Cold Front Summersville- June 15th, 2020

On a June morning that felt like September the bass bites were hard to find but the ones I did find were very quality fish. I did find a pocket of fish in the back of Hominey Creek where the rain run off was meeting the clear water of Summersville. I got to hang with and fish with my friend and retired coworker Randy Mcmillion. Honestly a great day.

After work Bluestone - June 11th, 2020

Greg and I fished a couple hours after work. We caught one each but it was tough. These fish are confused still. The water was plus 45 feet a couple weeks back during a time that they were supposed to spawn.

Midweek Summersville - June 10th, 2020

Saw about a million big carp eating locusts off the surface, saw some deer, saw a turkey, figured out where the fish were and managed to catch a few of them.  Caught several over 14” and had a good day eventhough it go hot way hot.

SCKBA Greenbrier- June 6th, 2020

My best day for numbers on the Greenbrier in a long time. I landed 60 smallmouth bass but could not find the bigger fish I needed. My biggest was 16.0”. I saw a river otter up close. And had a good time on the river with Jared. Flukes and plopper where the order of the day.
