All the Small Things - June 11th, 2016
Greg D., Nahodil, Brad and myself floated from dam to first takeout at daylight. We fog burned off quickly and it became a pretty sunny but hot morning. We were catching fish good on g tails and flukes but all the fish we were managing to catch were small fish. I think my best three were only 33 inches. It was still a fun four hour float.
Total fish caught = 75
Minutes per fish = 12.08

Solo Afternoon Fishing - June 9th, 2016
I fished around below the dam for an hour and 45 minutes after work. It took me awhile catch my first fish but after changing g tail colors from smoke with chart to white I started catching a few. I ended up 13 fish total. I basically just fished the spill way, grass islands and current. The fish are starting to move out to moving water vs the pocket water they were hanging in last week.
Total Fish = 13

High Water Float- June 6th, 2016
Brad and I floated after work from the dam to southside. The water was high and the Greenbrier was a mess from the weekend rain. The bite was steady but not great. I landed 15 and Brad caught 13. We fished from 5:30 to 8:30pm. The majority of our bites were in slack water. There were also a fair amount of pressure on the river today. My biggest three were only like 34 inches.
Total fish landed = 28
Minutes per fish = 12.85
Miles floated = 3.5miles

New River Morning - June 4th, 2016
Greg and I floated from the dam to the first takeout starting at 6am. We were the only folks on the water for the first hour or two. The horn from the dam blew about and hour into the trip signaling rising water levels. The forecast was calling for heavy stroms coming in the evening. We had falling barometric pressure all morning. The bite was good. Fish seemed to be not in moving current but in eddies and pocket water near vegetation. Smoke with chart gitzit g-tails and flukes were the top fihs producers. Greg landed 18 and I had 45 in a short 4 hour round trip float. My biggest 3 bass were 46 inches. Greg hooked and lost a 20 inch fish that came unbuttoned right next to the boat.
Total fish= 63
Fish per minute for this trip = 7.0
Miles floated = 4.5miles
